Reef Aquarium Log · Last updated: November 4, 2026
Reef Aquarium Log ("the app") is a record-keeping tool for aquarium water measurements.
What the app does with your data
- Everything you enter (aquariums, measurements, notes, ranges, reminders, settings) is stored only on your phone.
- The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers. We do not receive, collect, store, or sell your data.
- The app does not contain advertising, analytics, or tracking of any kind.
- If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup for your phone, the app's data may be included in that regular phone backup. Those backups are created and controlled by Apple and by you; we cannot access them.
- Reminders are local notifications created on your phone. They need your permission and can be turned off in your phone's Settings.
Backup files
When you choose "Save a backup file", the app creates a file with your data and hands it to your phone's share sheet. Where that file goes (Files, iCloud Drive, email, another app) is decided by you. When you restore from a backup file, the app reads the file you choose. We never see these files.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Not advice
The app is a record-keeping tool. It does not give advice about animals or water chemistry. The starting ranges are general reference values only, have not been reviewed by an aquarium specialist, and can be changed or turned off by you.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with a new date.
